I totally was NOT going to do a Valentine’s Day post this year.  Besides the fact that I’m single and have always been single on this day, I don’t put too much into it…well, minus my post from about 2 years ago.  In any event, something funny happened, and I wanted to share…so here you go!

As I’m going out of town this weekend, I decided to treat myself and spend my night filled with dinner, cupcakes, “The Walking Dead” (From the Beginning) marathon on AMC, a new episode of “Scandal”, washing my hair, and packing for this trip.  (Yes, I know what I said previously about these two shows, but work with me, not against me.)  I’ve talked to Southern Parents in the last 24 hours, with both wishing me a Happy Valentine’s Day and stating a little sumthin’ sumthin’ was in the mail (WIN!), so I’m pretty happy with the day’s events.

No surprise, I start getting texts from boys pasts.  Some I went out with for a spell, some I met through family/friends that were trying to play matchmaker, and some that it just didn’t work out.  Like clockwork, these dudes start sending out their Happy V-Day texts when the sun comes up.  In an effort to sway me from backsliding, TyAnthony sends a text that states (I’ve edited it for content), “Don’t call some random thinking you can rekindle something.  Happy Valentine’s Day.  I love you.”  (I know he’s probably going to kill me for posting this, but he’ll be alright.)  I thought that was THE sweetest thing!  Of course I told him I had too much to do today to worry about some boy from long ago and told him I loved him, too!  It’s great having a male BFF!  And it’s great to see he does have a heart. 🙂

Anywho, enjoy your day.  And if you’re not in a relationship, spoil yourself!  Because if you can’t, how do you expect anybody else to???  Until next time, I’m just a Southern girl…in the city!
