Happy Monday!  Despite having a busy weekend, it was actually pretty good!  You all know I’m a TV buff, and it appears that a few of my favorite shows will have their season finale this week.  😦

First, “Gossip Girl“.  GG is my guilty pleasure.  While I missed most of the episodes this season, I’m pretty much caught up on the fact that Blair is engaged to a prince, Serena’s crazy cousin is in town, and Nate has a new squeeze that used to belong to Chuck.  Sadly, I will miss tonight’s finale as I will be watching “Freedom Riders“.  I’m sure I’ll have numerous opportunities this summer to catch up. 

On Wednesday, my FAVORITE show still on the air, “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit“, will end it’s 12th season.  This show, by far, is the best L&O series in the franchise and has been renewed for a 13th season.   Based on the commercials that have shown, I think Captain Cragen is going to get shot.  And it looks like it’ll be a great episode, like last week’s. 

I started watching “Grey’s Anatomy” when I moved to DC two years ago, and I’ve been hooked ever since.  I’ve never been big on hospital dramas, but I must say GA has been able to keep my attention.  Last year’s finale was AMAZING, and I gave kudos to creator Shonda Rhimes via Twitter…not sure if she saw my tweet though. 

Growing up as a latchkey kid and not liking the outdoors made television my best friend.  Even as an adult, it’s never let me down.  When I want to unwind, or get away from it all, or simply want to be entertained, my remote is just a reach away.  I highly suggest you watch all of the aforementioned shows this week.  And if you’re a new fan, don’t worry-you can get caught up on the past season this summer; a plethora of re-runs will show, I’m sure.  Until next time, I’m just a Southern girl…in the city!
