I hope you all had a great holiday! I did. Christmas always makes me happy and brings joy to my life, but sadly, that joy is over. My transportation back to DC got cancelled last night (not sure why since the weather wasn’t that bad), and I’ve been working non-stop to try to figure out how to get back. (Thank God I’ll be back in the morning.) And it doesn’t help matters when you feel like you have to repeat yourself numerous times or when what you’re doing isn’t good enough (by others’ standards anyway). I kinda just want to be left alone, and that’s hard to do when you’re home…and someone else is there.
It doesn’t help that I’m reading “Bitch is the New Black” by Helena Andrews, and I’m at the part where she talks about her sorority sister committing suicide and the aftermath. It’s putting me in even more of a depressed state.
So, to not bore or depress you anymore, I’ll end here. Hopefully my post tomorrow (or Wednesday) will be WAY happier than this, and I’ll be in a better mood. Until next time, I’m just a Southern girl…in the city.
Whoa…that book sounds heavy. I like your writing style and will be following your blog. Hope you can follow me as well! Bye doll 🙂
