This weekend I will be going home to celebrate my 10 year high school reunion. As we all do when going back to see old friends, we want to make sure we look our best-yours truly included. I have been searching high and low for the perfect outfit to wear Saturday evening. I asked my friend Erin and “auntie” Madeline for their assistance. I began to get SO frustrated! While I know their hearts where in the right place, I started to get aggravated because everything I liked they didn’t. They both agreed I should accentuate certain physical attributes, and my selections were doing the opposite. This led to Madeline asking me, “Do you think you’re sexy?” My response was, “No”. I think I’m pretty, but I don’t think I’m sexy. I also think I can stand to lose a few pounds. While speaking to Madeline, she let me know that everyone thinks that they could stand to lose a pound or two. She knows she’s not where she wants to be, but she knows she’s sexy. Her question to me was, “So, what are we going to do to change your perception?” My humble response was a shoulder shrug.
What makes someone sexy? Is it the way they carry themselves? Is it the clothes they wear? Is it their profession? Also, how does one become sexy? Is there a person that one should follow and try to imitate to become sexy? Or should they have a certain someone or something in mind? Do you think you’re sexy? Why or why not? Guys, what about a woman makes her sexy? Ladies, what is about a man that exudes sex appeal? Please share your thoughts…and suggestions. I need to digest this stuff within 48 hours! 🙂 Until next time, I’m just a Southern Girl…in the city!
